What goes round
The London cycle ride may be causing roads to close on Sunday 2nd August but Kew Village Market will be very much open for business – an oasis of 29 stalls of artisan food and craft shopping! That said, some of our regular stallholders can’t be with us, whether because of traffic problems or holidays, so before making out your shopping list do please check here.
We’re delighted to welcome back Our Bread with their scrumptious range of Hungarian strudel and pastries, sweet complements to the superb pies and pasties from Mud Foods. And if you fancy lunch while listening to the live music – from The Richmond Youth Jazz Band this month – what could be nicer than a slice of home-cooked quiche or a salad from regular favourite Carolyn Dawson, or a savoury or sweet treat from La Crepe de Delices?
Speaking of treats, be sure to stop by the newest craft stall of the market – reallyBIGflowers where you can pick up the most exquisite silk scarves, designed in Kew and printed in Italy, for just half the usual retail price. Also Sarah Jane Hemsley Upholstery will be joining us again, breathing beautiful new life into tired old furniture, and Three Little Magpies are returning with upscaled vintage homewares to sell in aid of Animal Rescue and Care. The Countess of Derby’s Charity are also taking a fund-raising stall and Kew Community Policing will be on hand with help and advice to make our lovely neighbourhood safer than ever.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 2nd August from 10am to 2pm!
PS The KVM Committee is still looking for a new Treasurer. If your background is in finance and you have time to spare and experience to share in a very good cause, do please get in touch with us – leave your contact details either at the KVM stall on Sunday or here.
