 It’s good to be back!

After its January break Kew Village Market is back  in fine form this weekend with 35 stalls selling all the quality foodstuffs and handmade crafts you could wish for. Check out here for a full list of who’ll be with us.

We’re delighted to welcome four new-to-Kew stalls.  Abycina will be introducing us to the fantastic flavours of Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine, with a choice of  (vegetarian and vegan friendly) hot dishes mixing the traditional tastes of East Africa with modern experimental street food.  Ildiko’s Chocolate offers the creme de la creme of sweet treats: handmade slabs of premium chocolate partnered with imaginative toppings, from rose petals to pink peppercorns, and a luscious range of caramel sauces.  Beautiful bakes are the province of The Damsel Cake Company, based in Kew – stop by for eye-catching (and mouthwatering) cupcakes and biscuits. And on the craft side, Made in Kew has gorgeous gemstone or glass bead necklaces (some double length) hand-crafted by a young local designer.  Also it’s a pleasure to welcome back Lusobrazil, whose Portuguese and Brazilian bakery products were such a hit in the autumn.

Don’t forget that Valentine’s Day is drawing near, so Sunday’s market could be the perfect chance to pick up something special for someone special. Many of our stalls will have the sort of Valentine’s gifts you won’t find on the high street – for instance, why not say it with Meadowsweet Flowers’ beatiful bulb arrangement in a heart shaped basket?
