Looking forward to May’s Kew Village Market

April’s market was an unqualified success, both with the weather and, more importantly, with the increased number of stalls. We now have half a dozen extra stalls each month. As a result we have expanded down Royal Parade pass Pizza Express towards Café Torelli and the Good Wine Shop. Everybody seems very happy with the new arrangements.

We still have a waiting list of people who want a stall, which means that every month we have fresh faces. But we do like to rotate stalls, either because the people who run them need a break to restock or because there are lots of stalls wanting selling similar products, such as cupcakes. Feedback suggests that visitors want as wide a range of items to browse as possible.

Even so we are always looking for more stalls, so if you are thinking about this please get in touch. More details here. We are also thinking about ways of allowing people to try out their ideas at minimum risk.  If you are thinking about having a stall but want to know more, come and talk to us at the Committee stall at the market.

Since the first meeting almost a year ago the committee has wanted a stall selling chocolate. And now at long last we have found one. Ambrosia Patisserie and Chocolatier uses the finest Belgian chocolate and other fresh ingredients to produce a wide range of chocolates, truffles and pralines. And if you want you can design your own chocolate bars – details at www.designmychocolate.co.uk.

June’s market is in the Jubilee long weekend and along with the shops around the station we’ll celebrating in a proper style. So put the date – June 3 in your diary now.

May’s market takes place on Sunday 6 May between 10am and 2pm. We look forward to seeing you.
